Joe McQueen is a school principal, therapeutic educator, speaker, and author with more than 25 years of experience working in alternative, behavioral, and therapeutic education settings.

Through The Solid Object Project, Joe focuses on helping educators and leaders create calmer, more connected, and more predictable school environments where both students and staff can succeed. His work blends practical classroom experience, therapeutic approaches to behavior, emotional regulation, leadership development, and relationship-centered systems that reduce escalation while strengthening trust and consistency.

Joe is the author of The Heart and Craft of Classroom Management: Building Belonging to Transform Behavior as well as Calming Young Minds: Understanding Mental Health, De-Escalation, Trauma and Restorative Practices in Teens and speaks nationally on topics including classroom culture, educator regulation, behavior support, leadership, and sustainable school systems.
